General Information

For Covid-19 our appointment system fits with national guidelines. We offer GP consultations via telephone and video that you can book up to four weeks in advance. If when you speak to a GP they think you need to be seen face to face and it is safe to do so, they will arrange a convenient time with you. If you have a clinically urgent issue we have some same day appointments for a GP to call you, however these are for urgent issues only, we encourage you to plan for all routine or non-urgent clinical issues in advance.

An appointment is required to see the doctor or nurse. We offer 10 to 15 minute appointments for our doctors and nurses and they can be booked up to six weeks in advance. If you are more than 10 minutes late for your face to face appointment you will have to rebook.

We endeavour to let you book an appointment with the doctor or nurse of your choice at a time that suits you best. This may not always be possible especially at times of high demand and when the staff member is on study or annual leave.

We offer a telephone interpreter service, please give as much notice as possible if you need this.

Our opening hours are 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday and we also offer appointments until 9pm, 7 days per week at our extended access service at the nearby St Charles hub.

Telephone Appointments

Appointments with the doctor are telephone first. These can be pre-booked up to 4 weeks in advance. A limited number of same day telephone appointments are also available each day. If needed the doctor will advise you to attend the surgery following a telephone appointment.

We will always endeavour to let you book an appointment with the doctor of your choice at a time that suits you best. This may not always be possible at times of high demand and when doctors are on study or annual leave.

You will be booked into a telephone for the morning or afternoon, the time of the appointment is approximate as urgent problems can affect exact timings. The doctors may be using a withheld number to call so please ensure that you can receive these.
